This summer we are travelling to Southeast Asia to volunteer and help provide veterinary services to exotic and domestic species. This is an unique opportunity for us to not only improve the health and welfare of animals, but the local community as well. We are beginning our trip in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where we are volunteering at a dog and cat shelter for two weeks to care for rescued and injured animals. We will then travel to the island of Koh Samui to assist in the care of injured feral dogs and cats, as well as aiding in population control. We will end our journey at the Wildlife Friends Foundation of Thailand (WFFT) where we will spend a week working with rescued elephants, and a week assisting in the care and rehabilitation of exotic species. As we are all interested in mixed animal practice, this trip will allow us to explore the different aspects of veterinary medicine in an international setting, while fostering relationships that OVC will continue to maintain. We are very excited to have been given this opportunity to travel overseas and represent OVC through Global Vets. We look forward to starting our adventure and welcome you to follow our journey! Thank you for your support.
