Hello Everyone!

We are the Zoomates and we will be traveling to South America this summer, more specifically Ecuador! While learning lots and collaborating with veterinarians abroad we hope our time will help continue the promotion of environmental conservation and protection. We will be volunteering at a wildlife rescue center deep within the Amazon jungle that works with a variety of animals including sloths! We are excited to work alongside the veterinarians and biologists to learn more about the interconnectedness between humans and wildlife and the importance of One Health in such a different environment. These new experiences will allow us to immerse ourselves in learning all we can about the distinct issues faced internationally and how they are overcome. While a lot of our time will be volunteering with the animals, we cannot wait to dive into the many cultural experiences Ecuador has to offer!
