Team 3: Furr-st Responders

The Furr-st Responders are excited to be embarking on a transformative journey to Thailand and Laos, dedicated to improving animal welfare and conservation. Our travels will begin in Thailand, where we will be volunteering for two weeks to support a local clinic treating family-owned pets as well as stray cats and dogs. Our aim is to help reduce the local stray population and be able to create partnerships with the communities to help improve animal health.  For the second half of our trip, we will be making our way to Laos for another two weeks working with a wide variety of wildlife. Our time in Laos will be dedicated helping offer care to animals rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking with the aim for rehabilitation for eventual release into the wild. Throughout our experiences, we hope to build meaningful partnerships with veterinarians and communities alike. We hope to learn from each other and to integrate into new cultures while making a lasting, positive impact. Join us in our journey of compassion, learning, and global collaboration for the future of animal care and conservation.
