TEAM 8 : The Galapagals

Galapagos Island- Pan Animalia  & Iquitos, Peru- RAREC

Sophie Tieu &  Davina Potkidis

The Galapagals are excited to be spending two weeks in the Galápagos working with Pan Animalia Galápagos to help with sterilization and vaccination of local companion animals, as well as educating the public on One Health. The goal of Pan Animalia Galápagos is to provide accessible and professional veterinary care to the growing number of animals on the Galápagos islands. Our second placement will be at the Rainforest Awareness Rescue Education Center in Iquitos, Peru. Their mission is to rescue and rehabilitate threatened species of Amazonian wildlife, as well as to provide community education. We can’t wait to help make a difference while collaborating with our international colleagues, learning more about the beautiful Amazonian wildlife as well as the rich culture in both Peru and the Galápagos. Stay tuned to follow us on our month long once in a lifetime adventure ❤
