Hello everyone!

Our names are Dian and Chloe, and we are traveling to Playa del Carmen, Mexico to volunteer at the Cocos Animal Rescue. We wanted to get involved in a project that works towards combating the stray animal population crisis and controlling endemic diseases. The dog/cat overpopulation and rabies crisis is a significant issue in Mexico.  We hope our work through Global Vets will make an impact in this crisis while also being an incredible learning experience in a unique part of the world. Besides veterinary medicine, we both share a love of marine life and hope to explore the unique biodiversity that Mexico has to offer. We are also excited to practice our Spanish skills, try new food, meet interesting people, and then eat more food!
